The Daily Show is brilliant. And I think Stewart understands all of the issues as well as (better?) than the most of the pundits and the majority of the politicians that he makes fun of.

And, for the life of me, I have no idea how or why anyone watches Beck's program other than because they have the desire to make themselves angry.
