ID Tags

What company do you use for your pet id tags? I need to get new id tags for my dogs and want a tag with some longevity behind it. I'm tired of tags scratching off and becoming illegible. HomeAgain has a nice metal tag that I like, but I want something cheaper than $25/tag.

Suggestions, please!

  2. Our dogs have Red Dingo tags, at like $12.99 each. I like them a lot.

  3. I have Boomerang tags on both the bullies. I have yet to replace them, they've stood up that well.

  4. I don't know about their longevity because I haven't purchased any from them, but I was looking at this site's tags today. If nothing else, they are clever!!

  5. I have cheapie tags from Petco and they've lasted 11 years with three of my dogs. I think they were around $7 at the time. I got Charlie's five years ago.

They have an engraving machine near the registers. I just got one for Oliver and I think it was about $8...

Different shapes to choose from, nothing too fancy, but they do the job for a good price and they last.

  6. THanks for all the suggestions! I'm leaning towards Red Dingo or Boomerang.

Pibble, I've done the engravings at pet stores and they have not lasted for my pups. My dogs are apparently silly when it comes to dog tags! :)

  7. I like the Boomerang tags too! Lots of dogs at my work have them (we have lots of dogs who wear harnesses and they have special harness tags) and they seem to hold up really well. If they'd been offered where we shop, I might have chosen them instead since I think the engraving is deeper than the Red Dingo ones, if that helps. The Red Dingo tags are WAY cuter though.

  8. I love my dog's St. Francis tag, but it rubs against his rabies tag and the writing is starting to fade a little. So, I might order a set from Fetching Tags next time.

They are totally customizable and they also donate proceeds to animal rescue.

  9. Late to the show, but... Boomerang CollarTags. No contest. They never wear out and they always look good.
